K100m Injected To Covid-19 Vaccine Awareness Campaign

Minister of Civic Education and National Unity Timothy Mtambo, has announced that K100 Million has been assigned to the awareness on Covid-19 vaccine, actual vaccination and attendant issues.

Mtambo said this yesterday during the daily Covid-19 updates by the Presidential Taskforce in Lilongwe.

Mtambo said the importance of the Covid-19 vaccine, expected to roll-out in Malawi in March, cannot be over-emphasized.

This is coming at the height of social media myths and misconceptions about the Covid-19 vaccines.

Mtambo said the awareness campaigns shall use all media including the employment of vehicles with public address systems driving around delivering appropriate messages.

President Lazarus Chakwera announced last night that the vaccines would arrive end this month.
