UTM Distances Itself From Councilor Mwabungulu’s Remarks

United Transformation Movement (UTM) Party has distanced itself from remarks made by Gabriel Mwaungulu councilor for Chibabvi West Ward against the Covid-19 committee on cash transfer.

In a statement signed by UTM’s publicity secretary Frank Mwenifumbo said the remarks do not represent the thoughts of the party.

“We would like to distance ourselves from the remarks that were purportedly made by councilor Mwaungulu on his Facebook page,” Mwenifumbo said.

Mwenifumbo further added that for a fact that the sentiments made by Mwaungulu do not represent the thinking nd ideals of the party in the fight against the global pandemic Coronavirus, the general public should regard them as personal to Councilor Mwaungulu.

The statement continued that UTM as a party is recommending the work nd all the effort that is being carried by the Covid-19 Taskforce against the pandemic.

“We pray that should yield positive results and we therefore remind our members and the general public to observe all the COvid-19 protocols in the prevention of the spread of Coronavirus,” he said.
