Ministry of Health is today friday 19th February 2021 conducting a media engagement meeting on COVID-19 Vaccine in Mponela
The main objective is to equip the media practitioners with correct information on the COVID-19 vaccine.
“The media has a role in disseminating Covid-19 messages and reporters are urged to be checking the daily updates and read the press statement to avoid misinformation. Said Dr. Zinkambani.
He further said the positive cases is declining and also number of admission and death are on the decrease.
In his remarks Dr.Chisema said Malawi will continue to roll out the AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine and the health workers will be the first one to receive the vaccine.
The total budget for the Covid-19 vaccine is 120,249 291.07 USD targeting a population 11million Malawians.
