FDH Bank releases 500 million kwacha for ‘Amayi atakate Loans’

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that First Discount House (FDH) Bank owned by well-known businessman Thom Mpinganjira has released 500 million kwacha for ‘Amayi atakate Loans.’

Head of Marketing and Communication for FDH financial holdings, Levie Mkunika said women will access the money through a 5 million kwacha loan without collateral.

“The timing of the fund of K 0.5 billion (K 500 million) was deliberately aligned to the International Women’s Day – and their Theme Choose to Challenge – We are empowering women to create an inclusive, prosperous and sustainable society.

“As you know Women business face a lot of problems with access to capital and security/collateral is a challenge.” Said Mkunika.

Recently the bank also helped needy students at the polytechnic, a constituent college of the Unirvesity of Malawi.
