Mwanamvekha Urges Journalists To Rely On Facts

Former Minister of Finance who is also one of the DPP’s aspiring Presidential candidates Joseph Mwanamvekha has urged journalists to work professionally and serve the country accordingly by providing real facts whenever they are writing their stories.

Mwanamvekha said this after one of the online sites Malawi Voice wrote an article implicating him involving the release of a cheque worth 10 billion Kwacha.

The article was later removed and then followed by an editorial apology which according to Mwanamvekha it shows that people are writing articles with no facts and balancing to the concerned parties which is bad as this trend is largely growing in the media which is negatively affecting people’s reputation all in the name of propaganda in politics.

Mwanamvekha has since advised his lawyers to start a lawsuit against the managing director of Malawi Voice despite the apology.
