Chakwera to launch construction of Multi-Purpose Indoor Sports Complex in Lilongwe

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera will today , March 26 lay a foundation stone of the Multi-Purpose Indoor Sports Complex at Area 48 in Lilongwe City.

State House Press Officer Brian Banda has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.

According to Banda, Chakwera is expected to arrive at the venue at 10 am and all invited guest are advised to be seated before the stated time.

Banda has since emphasised that all COVID-19 preventive measures will be followed.

This will be the third public appearance for Chakwera since the country experienced the second wave of COVID-19 which has claimed lives of over 1000 Malawians including two Cabinet Ministers.
