The Magistrates Court seating in Lilongwe has sentenced Arafat Gomani to seven years imprisonment in respect of theft of motor vehicle of late Lucy Kadzamira.
Gomani was arrested at Nsalu trading center on 18 October 2019 while attempting to sell a white Mazda Demio registration number DZ 4606 belonging to late Kadzamila
Presiding over the seating, Principal Resident Magistrate Viva Nyimba told the court that the crime was well-planned and the convict breached the employee and employer agreement that was there between him and late Kadzamira.
Besides the theft crime, Gomani is also answering a murder charge in respect of Kadzamira’s death, who was brutally murdered in 2019.
Gomani hails from Maluwa village Traditional Authority Kabudula in Lilongwe district.
