Tragic: Weed Intoxicated Man Stones Friend To Death With A Brick

In a tragic development, a weed intoxicated man from Headlands in Manicaland stoned his friend to death with a brick.

Munyaradzi Garikai (23) reportedly struck his friend Joseph Majoni with a brick on the head after the two exchanged words when they were smoking dagga.

Majoni died upon admission at the hospital after he sustained a deep cut on the head as a result of the attack, New Zimbabwe reports.

Manicaland police spokesperson, Inspector Luxson Chananda confirmed the tragic incident which happened at Doverleigh Farm.

According to the police report, on the 16th of April 2021 at around 10 pm, Garikai, and Majoni were smoking dagga together at the farm and ended up exchanging words.

Admore Garikai (28) heard some noise and tried to mediate but in a fit of rage, Munyaradzi picked a brick and hit Majoni on the head.

Majoni reportedly fell on the ground. He started bleeding profusely and cried for help.

Oliver Nyamamu of the same farm who heard his cry for help rushed to the scene and discovered that Majoni had a deep cut and was bleeding.

Oliver advised Joseph Bvunzawabaya who rushed the deceased to Headland’s clinic where he was transferred to Rusape General Hospital where he, unfortunately, died upon admission

The matter was reported to police who attended the scene leading to the arrest of the suspect.

Following the incident, Inspector Chananda said people should not take the law into their own hands.

He urged members of the public to avoid taking dangerous drugs and also seek counseling from community or church leaders whenever they are entangled in a dispute.
