Two people in Karonga are in police custody for allegedly being found in possession of a live pangolin.

Karonga Police spokesperson, Enock Livasoni confirmed of the arrest.

According to Livason the arrest follows a tip received on April 3 2021.

This is against Section 86(1) of National Parks and Wildlife Act and attracts a minimum fine of K5 million and 10 years imprisonment.
