POLICE TRAINED IN DISASTER MANAGEMENT

Northern Region Police Senior Deputy Commissioner, Maxmus Bakali, has asked officers in the service to always remain professional and independent when discharging their duties.

Bakali said this in Mzuzu during a three day Disaster Recovery Management training for officers from Mzimba North.

He said it is only well trained, equipped and hard-working officers who serve their communities properly.

In his remarks Mzuzu Diocese Catholic Health Commission Diocesan Health Secretary, Marvellous Matope said they thought of engaging the police because when disasters strike communities alert and seek help from the police among other partners in disaster management.
