COURT ADJOURNS STUART KALUNGAMA DEFILEMENT CASE TO FRIDAY, MAY 21

Date:

The Lilongwe Chief Resident Magistrate, Patrick Chirwa, has adjourned the case involving Lilongwe-based business person Stuart Kalungama, who is accused of defiling his 9-year old stepdaughter, to Friday 2 pm.

According to the President of the Women Lawyers Association of Malawi Emmaculate Maluza, the court says the ruling on the defense application for the Magistrate to recuse himself is not ready.

In March this year, the court heard through the mother to the victim that her husband defiled his stepdaughter five times from December last year to February 2021.
