Man Takes Daughter To Hotel On Pretext Of Job Interview, Rapes her

A 48-year-old man allegedly took his daughter to a hotel room in Gurugram and allegedly raped her. The man, who works at a textile company, allegedly told his daughter that he had organised the job interview. The incident came to light when the 22-year-old survivor and her mother approached the cops and lodged a complaint.

The two women alleged that the accused raped his daughter and filmed the obscene act. The survivor and his family are residents of Delhi. Reportedly, the incident took place at a hotel on June 7 in DLF-3.

The family had been struggling due to financial issues. The woman was also looking for a job as she wanted to support her parents. On the day of the incident, the man told his 22-year-old daughter that she was going to a hotel inside of an office to meet the human resource team. When the two reached the hotel, the accused allegedly tied the woman’s hands, taped her mouth and raped her, The Times of India reported.

The 48-year-old accused did not stop here, he allegedly filmed a video and threatened to circulate it if she narrated her ordeal to anyone. After the incident, the father-daughter duo left the hotel and returned home.

The woman asked if she could accompany her mother to buy vegetables and during this time, she told her about the incident. The two women then went to the police station and the accused was booked under section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections of the IT Act. The survivor also told the police that she never had a cordial relationship with the accused.

Inspector Vinit, station house officer (SHO) of DLF Phase-3 station said, “The accused has been arrested. Further investigation is in progress. “
