Tobacco Sales at Kanengo Auction floors have been suspended for the second time following disagreements between management and the floor workers on wages.

The workers started a sit in on Thursday evening, leading to suspension of tobacco sales on Friday.

AHL Public Relations Manager Teresa Ndanga has confirmed the second suspension of tobacco sales this morning.

The workers are accusing management of failing to meet government set minimum wage of Mk50,000.00

According to one of the workers who opted for a condition of anonymity said, some of the workers are getting as low as Mk15,000 per month.

Management is yet to comment on the claims.

Meanwhile disgruntled workers have vowed to continue with the strike.
