Father Makes Final Child Support Payment For Daughter By Dumping 80,000 PENNIES On Front Lawn

Virginia, USA: A teen girl showed her negligent dad the true meaning of maturity.

Avery Sanford, who is currently a high school senior, had not seen her father in years when he dumped his final payment of child support on his ex-wife’s lawn in the form of 80,000 pennies, according to a report.

“I just turned 18. When I was in the middle of class, my dad came by. He had rented a trailer,” she said.

Avery’s crazy father “pulled up in front of the house and turned the trailer on so it dumped out all the pennies on the grass,” she recalled in disbelief.

“And my mom came out and was like, ‘What are you dumping in my yard?’ She didn’t know who it was until he shouted, ‘It’s your final child support payment.”

But rather than getting mad, Avery decided to collect the pennies and give them to charity.

The family picked up every single coin and are planning to donate the $800 to Safe Harbor, a domestic abuse help center.

“It’s not just my mom he’s trying to embarrass, it’s also me and my sister and it’s upsetting that he didn’t consider that before he did that,” Avery said.

“Turning around and donating that money to moms and children in need, I feel like that really turns this situation into a positive. You can learn from it.”

Her father told reporters it was an act of frustration release, which had been building in him for 18 the past years, and “the last thing he wanted to do” was alienate his daughter even more.
