Prisoners Dodge Covid-19 Vaccine

A number Prisoners in the country’s reformation facilities are reportedly shunning Coronavirus vaccine.

According to National Prison Spokesperson Chimwemwe Shaba only few inmates have been vaccinated while the majority are refusing to get the vaccine.

Shaba, further expressed worry over the move by inmates to shun the vaccine at a time, the country is experiencing third wave of the virus.

“Inmates are reluctant to get the COVID-19 jab, but we will not relent we will continue sensitizing them”, said Shaba.

Shaba said a sensitization campaign has since been rolled out across the country to appraise inmates on the importance of getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
