Musician Kendall spits fire at Tonse Alliance: ‘Mfundo zina mukuchita ndizopweteka ana anu omwe’

Well-known musician Kendall Kamwendo of ‘Nyemba nyemba boys’ has come out of his cocoon and accuse the Tonse Alliance led by Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his Vice Dr. Saulos Chilima of sidelining him and his friend Simon.

The two campaigned heavily for the Tonse Alliance ahead of the June 23, 2020 fresh Presidential polls which saw President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera emerging victorious.

The ‘Nyemba Nyemba’ boys released a campaign song titled ‘Manong’onong’o’ which was used as theme song to the Tonse Alliance campaign trail.

In the course of the campaign, unknown people suspected to be youth cadets for the then ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) torched the vehicle of the two musicians and nothing happened to the culprits.

After the polls, the two musicians also released a song titled ‘Tawoloka Nyanja’ which was also used as theme song during Chakwera’s inauguration ceremony in the capital Lilongwe.

Since then the two guys have not been involved in any public events held by the Chakwera’s government and instead new artists who were against the Tonse Alliance then the once dining with Chakwera and his team.

Writing on his official facebook page, Kendall could not hide his frustration over the current situation.

Below is Kendall’s statement;
