Classes suspended indefinitely at MUST, 10 students test positive for COVID-19

Physical classes have been suspended at the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) and instead, lessons are being offered online only after 10 students tested Covid-19 positive.

MUST spokesperson, James Mphande has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.

Mphande says mass testing for students will start tomorrow.

But some students have fault university officials for allegedly sending Covid-19 positive students to a compound called “China” where residents in some hostels there are negative, an assertion Mphande disputes.

So far over 1000 Malawians have succumbed to COVID-19.
