The Ministry of Education (MoE) has instituted an investigation on Blantyre based Kalibu Academy’s alleged sexual abuse of students.
This follows reports making trends on social media that a male teacher at the academy attempted to rape a female student at the school.
A statement signed by Secretary for Education, Chikondano Mussa, says the Ministry is focusing much on a case of a male teacher who is alleged to have attempted to rape a female student at the school.
The statement says the Ministry is working with relevant authorities to get to the bottom of the matter and has since encouraged all who may have information on the account or similar incidences to contact the Ministry.
The Ministry has since appealed to the public to come forward with any information on the matter.
