A youth in the Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh allegedly ended his own life at his residence on Sunday. Reportedly, the youth had been disturbed due to a recent incident. A probe revealed that the 19-year-old youth’s friends had undressed him and posted his obscene video on WhatsApp.
The youth had been upset as the video was widely circulated on WhatsApp. Identified as Pankaj, the deceased was a resident of Patti Gyani village which falls under the limits of the Bela police station.
Accused undressed teen, filmed video
The youth’s parents have alleged that he had gone to work at a canal under MNREGA when the incident took place. The three accused – Ajay Dinesh and Sanjay – allegedly undressed the teenager when they reached the site and filmed an objectionable video.
Suicide note not found at teen’s house
The accused then posted the video on WhatsApp and it went viral. As per the teen’s father, he was depressed after the incident and the same prompted him to hang himself to death. The cops rushed to the spot after they were informed about the case and took the body under custody, The Times of India reported. A suicide note, however, has not been recovered by the police.
Initially, when a complaint regarding the video was lodged at the Yagubpur police post, the cops had detained the three accused but they were later released on a warning.
A police official privy to the case said, “We are probing the incident from every possible angle. Action will be initiated against the guilty. ”
