Govt Trashes Rumors That Chakwera’s Daughter Has Replaced Minister Of Foreign Affairs In The Presidential Entourage To UK

Authorities have rubbished reports that have been making rounds that President Lazarus Chakwera’s daughter, Violet has replaced Foreign Affairs Minister in the presidential entourage to the UK.

President Chakwera is expected to leave the country for the UK on Sunday to attend the global education Summit expected to run from the 28th to the 29th of this month.

Reports have therefore been suggesting that the president’s daughter will at the summit take the role of foreign affairs minister Eisenhower Mkaka.

However, while confirming that Violet is part of the Presidential entourage to the UK, Mkaka has said that the president’s daughter has personal assignments in the UK.

Mkaka added that he is not traveling with the president as per tradition as he has other equally-important official assignments in Morocco.

“The truth is that she is not replacing me. She is going there but there is something that she is going to do and not that she is replacing me. I have my own trip to Morocco and I will not be accompanying the President and not because the President’s daughter is replacing me. I am leaving on Sunday and so is the President, so we thought of splitting,’’ said Mkaka.

Recently, there has been a huge talk about the president’s daughter who is among diplomats appointed for various roles.
