42 students from Nsanje Secondary School test positive for COVID-19

Information reaching this publication indicates that 24 students from Nsanje Secondary School have tested positive for COVID-19.

Spokesperson for Nsanje District Health Office, George Mbotwa has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Mbotwa, out of 288 students who got tested for #COVID19, 42 turned out to be positive.

Mbotwa says the school needs shelter to be used to isolate the students.

Meanwhile Ministry of Health is yet to comment on the matter.

But Teachers Union of Malawi (TUM) has asked government to close all the schools.
