Zodwa Wabantu arrested

Zodwa Wabantu got arrested eight minutes away from her house for breaking curfew rules…and took videos of her time behind bars this morning.

Media personality Zodwa WaBantu got arrested at 03:00 on Woman’s Day 9 August for breaking COVID-19 curfew regulations.

The socialite captured the whole incident on her phone and shared video footage with her followers on social media.

The reality star stated in the footage that the officers in the video detained her as they wanted her to pay a R5 000 fine. This despite wabantu saying that she has a work permit.

She also shared a notice of rights, saying that she got arrested for contravening the Disaster Management Act and not for anything else.

The media personality also shared a video of herself dancing on tables and performing alongside DBG Gogo at a club earlier in the evening on her Instagram account before her arrest.

President Cyril Ramaphosa moved South Africa to adjusted alert lockdown level 3 on Sunday 25 July.
