Anglican church reacts after its Priest was caught kissing female students during prayers (Watch Video)

Leadership of the Anglican Church, Ghana has said it is saddened by the video circulating on social media in which one of their priests is seen kissing three female students during church service.

A video circulating on social media sighted by AtinkaNews showed a Priest kissing three females on the lips amidst the surge in Coivd-19 cases.

In the video, the Priest, called and gave each girl a kiss which lasted about 2 seconds on average. The first two kisses got the congregants screaming with excitement.

However, the third female student before and during the act showed some form of hesitation, but was still kissed by the Anglican Priest in question.

Some netizens who chanced upon the video are alleging that the act occurred at St Monica’s College of Education.

Reacting to the news, Leadership of the Anglican Church, Ghana has said it is saddened by the video.

“The Church is saddened by the news and wishes to state expressly that, thorough investigation has immediately been instituted into the matter and the action of the said Priest would be dealt with in accordance with the norms and values of the Anglican Communion where morality is extremely revered in the Church”, the church said in an August 17 statement.

It added that measures are being put in place to help the affected students get over the experience.

“…all efforts are being made to engage the students concerned through counselling sessions to avert any psychological issues that may arise at a result of the viral video”
