Chakwera congratulates newly elected President of Zambia

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has congratulated the newly elected President of Zambia Hakainde Hichilema.

Hichilema was declared winner by the Zambia Electoral Commission on Sunday night after outclassing the Incumbent President Edgar Chagwa Lungu.

In a statement released on Monday made available to faceofmalawi, Chakwera wished the President elect a robust health.

“The First lady and I, would like to congratulate His Excellency Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, for his victory in the just ended Zambian Presidential election, becoming the 7th President.

“We wish you a robust health and insight as you diligently serve the people of Zambia,” wrote Chakwera.

Meanwhile it is not yet known as to when Hakainde Hichilema will be sworn-in.
