Man arrested for accidentally killing his 11 day-old biological daughter

Police in Phalombe have arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion that he has killed his 11 day – old biological daughter after falling on her.

Phalombe police spokesperson, Jimmy Kapanja confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).

Kapanja told Zodiak that the suspect, Patrick Chitsulo, went out to drink beer but upon arrival, he stumbled on a stone in the house and fell on both the wife and daughter as he was joining the two to sleep.

He said the baby became unconscious as she was hit on the head.

The baby was taken to Chiringa Parish Clinic where she was referred to Phalombe Health Center.

The baby was pronounced dead upon arrival.
