ACB puts on hold rehabilitation of Marka, Bangula railway station

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has blocked the Ministry of Transport and Public Works from dealing with contract for designing, upgrading and rehabilitation of the railway section between Marka and Bangula.

ACB Principal Public Relations Officer, Egrita Ndala has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying the body has launched an investigation on the matter.

According to Ndala, “this follows a complaint received by the ACB alleging irregularities and suspected corruption surrounding the procurement process.”
