Bizarre| Teenager Blocks Killer Bullets With Bare Hands

The teen took his mobile to a man to get it fixed.

But when he went to fetch it, the man said the phone was somewhere else.

So they walked together to fetch the Samsung J1 cellphone.

However, the man pulled out a gun and shot at the 16-year-old, who tried to block the bullets with his hands.

“The next thing I was on the ground. I quickly stood up and ran back home without looking back.

“I really did not know what I was doing, but I tried to protect my body with my bare hands to block the bullets from penetrating my body,” he said.

The first bullet hit the young man on the palm of his hand and came out on the other side, while the second one hit his forearm.

His angry mother, Elsie Thibatsane (41) from Odi View in Tshwane told Daily Sun her son was shot at close range on 15 October.

She said they were shocked to hear that the man wanted to kill her son.

The teen instinctively put up his hands to stop the bullet

“My son was admitted at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital and doctors said the injuries were bad. My son is in severe pain.

“I suspect the man sold my son’s cellphone because we never recovered it. I suspect he wanted to kill my son and dump him in the nearby bush. Luckily he managed to run for his life,” said Elsie.

The mother of three said they didn’t know why the man wanted to kill her innocent child.

“I want this man to explain to us why he shot my son.

“I will not rest until I get justice for my son.

My son is traumatised and needs counselling. I don’t think he will forget such a horrible night easily,” she said.

Community leader, Agnes Lengwati (64), said:

“We have to push this case and make sure this man gets arrested and gets a heavy sentence. He is not needed in the community. He must rot in jail.

“Community members said the law must do the right thing and remove this man from the community because he can cause more harm. The community also said they don’t want to be pushed to do something that law enforcement will regret,” said Lengwati.

Gauteng police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo said: “A case of attempted murder was opened.

“The suspect is at large and police are looking for him.”
