Archbishop Malango’s Funeral To Be Accorded Military Honours

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has directed that the funeral ceremony of late Archbishop Emeritus Doctor Bernard Amos Malango, former Bishop of Upper Shire be accorded military honours.

This has been confirmed in a statement released by Secretary to the President Dr. Jane L Banda, SC, made available to faceofmalawi.

According to Banda, State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima will represent Chakwera at the funeral ceremony slated for tomorrow (Wednesday) at Saint Thomas Church in Lilongwe.

Archbishop Malango died on Saturday at Kamuzu Central Hospital.
