President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera today used the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) Helicopter to travel to the eastern district of Mangochi to attend the Economics Association of Malawi (ECAMA) 2021 Annual Economic Conference.

Usually, President Chakwera uses road transports when executing local public functions across the country.

The development comes amid pressure from Malawians who are expressing discontent on how the Tonse administration is running the country.

The latest scenario being that of United Transformation Movement (UTM) Youth Director Bon Kalindo, popularly known as Winiko who has demanded for the immediate resignation of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.

Kalindo has accused Chakwera of failure to fulfill some of the campaign promises.

He has since threatened for a national wide protest.
