Malawian Woman On The Run After She Killed Her Newly Born Baby

Police in Kasungu are hunting a woman who is only identified as Florence for allegedly concealing the birth of a child.

Kasungu police spokesperson Joseph Kachikho while confirming of the development said that Florence is believed to have killed her newly born baby and dump the body in a river.

According to Kachikho, the body of the infant was found in Lisandwa River with wounds on its head and buttocks.

Reports are indicating that Florence was a sex worker at Lisandwa 3.

According to a postmortem report, the baby died due to loss of blood through the wounds which are believed to be sustained form being stabbed.
