Prophet Liabunya receiving death threats, fails to reveal Mutharika’s successor

Controversial Prophet Austin Liabunya claims that he is receiving death threats over who is going to succeed former President Peter Mutharika and represent Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in 2025 general election.

On Tuesday, Liabunya urged Malawians not to leave his facebook page because he is set to reveal Presidential Candidate for Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) who will replace Peter Mutharika.

In his post Liabunya hinted that the likely candidate to take over from Mutharika is unexpected.

But this did not go down well with some DPP cadets who started sending him death threats over the matter.

The development forced Prophet Liabunya to cancel the arrangements.

“Due to DEATH threats I have received since yesterday when I said I would reveal the leader that would emerge from DPP I won’t be able to go ahead with the LIVE broadcast tonight for safety reasons not because I’m afraid but to protect them from their own death for trying to touch God’s Anointed,” wrote Liabunya

He added: “We have received anonymous calls and messages of threats should we go ahead with the proposed revelations. They know that all Malawians would follow the person I would say is the one due to my impact on the MALAWI National politics.

“My commitment has always been revealing God’s mind on this Country .

“I’m still praying about the way forward of the said prophecy delivery.”

Effort to talk to DPP spokesperson on the matter proved futile.
