Misa Malawi mourns veteran DJ John Mota


MISA Malawi joins the media fraternity in the country in mourning radio personality John Mota popularly known as ‘Atom The DJ’.

Mota died Thursday morning, December 9, 2021 at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre. He succumbed to hypertension.

Until his passing, Mota was a radio presenter at FM Power 101.

A seasoned radio personality, Mota worked for FM Power 101, Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and Ufulu FM.

He will be remembered for giving many local musicians a chance to access radio. His unique radio presentation skills and overall passion for radio and Malawi music will remain in our hearts.
