DPP MP Ben Phiri hospitalized

Ben Phiri, Member of Parliament for Thyolo Central, was last night rushed to Good Hope Private Hospital in Lilongwe after he complained of not feeling well.

National Police spokesperson James Kadadzera confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

Kadadzera said that Phiri is still at the hospital as of today morning but could not say what he is suffering from.

Phiri surrendered himself to police on Wednesday following a warrant arrest.

He is being accused of some suspected procurement fraud and corruption at Ministry of Gender between 2018 and 2020.
