Kabaza Operators On Rampage In Ntcheu

Kabaza motorcycle operators have blocked the M1 road at Nsipe Trading Centre in Ntcheu following a move by the district council and Police to confiscate their motorcycles.

The motorcycle operators have used tree logs, stones beside burning tyres to decorate the roads thereby causing traffic jam.

Earlier today, authorities confiscated atleast 20 motorcycles for, among others, failure by the kabaza operators to pay K15, 000 yearly business licence fee.

One of the concerned kabaza operators said they are failing to source the money due to economic challenges.

Meanwhile, law enforcers have rushed to the scene to calm down the situation.
