A woman in the Eastern Cape has been arrested on suspicion of murdering her boyfriend during a money dispute.
According to police, this occurred on Wednesday in the small village of Cookhouse. Police further said that the 51-year-old woman and her 38-year-old boyfriend got into a fight over his 13th paycheck.
SurgeZirc SA understands that the man was walking in the Bongweni area of Cookhouse when his partner allegedly accosted him. They are believed to have been involved in a heated argument when she stabbed him in the upper body.
Akhona Sondlo was pronounced dead at the scene. His girlfriend was apprehended and is being held for the weekend.
