Callista Mutharika Describes Late Anne Muluzi As Selfless Person

Former First Lady Callista Mutharika has described the late Anne Chidzira Muluzi as a selfless and inspirational person.

Mutharika was speaking on behalf of former first ladies.

In her eulogy, Mutharika has said Anne was a very welcoming person and an obedient wife to former president Bakili Muluzi.

The first woman to hold the title of “first lady” in Malawi died at the age of 69, on Tuesday 28th December 2021. She died of cancer at a private hospital in Kenya.

Menawhile, Chidzira family member, Binton Kutsalia, has expressed gratitude to the government through President Lazarus Chakwera for footing the former First Lady’s medical bills during her battle with Cancer.
