Opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Member of Parliament for Blantyre City South Noel Lipipa is contemplating of joining the United Transformation Movement (UTM) of Dr. Saulos Chilima who is also the country’s vice President.
Lipipa’s move comes amid leadership squabbled rocking DPP where several top officials a pushing for an early convention to replace Peter Mutharika.
Writing on his official facebook Lipipa said well-known people including Judges have on several times approached him on the matter.
“For the longest time my friends at moth club have always said I am stupid because I support the DPP, including the 6 judges, even justice Twea we are loosing our popularity slowly, they say you need to join SKC. I have always said no.
“But i think they have a point,” wrote Lipipa.
Lipipa is regarded as a traitor in DPP since he is a good friend of the country’s Vice President.
