Kalindo’s case commences in Zomba

Politician-cum-comedian Bon Kalindo is at the Chief Resident Magistrate Court in Zomba, where he is answering a charge of alleged publication of false materials.

Kalindo was granted bail on 13 December last year by Chief Resident Magistrate Austin Banda in relation to the case, where he is believed to have told a gathering in Mangochi during demonstrations that former deputy speaker of Parliament Clement Chiwaya was murdered at Parliament building in Lilongwe.

The State is expected to parade witnesses in the case.
