Flames To Upset Morocco In Round of 16 – Mario Marinica

Malawi National Football Team Head Coach Mario Marinica has said he is optimistic that The Flames will upset the Atlas Lions of Morocco in today’s round of 16 match at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Marinica said this as he feels that teams from the North Africa are being considered as the favorites for the ongoing tournament.

According to Marinica, having the full squad after players tested negative for Covid-19 will work as a big boost to the team’s style of play.

On his part Flames captain, John Banda says as players they are geared up for this crucial assignment.

One of the country’s sports commentators, George Chiusiwa has however advised Flames technical panel to avoid long balls in order to contain the Atlas Lions.

Chiusiwa, further says on paper Morocco are favorites but with a proper game plan the Flames can pull a surprise.
