Chisa Mbele Sets Date For Mass Demonstrations Against Ashok Nair

Social Commentator Joshua Chisa Mbele has set February 28, 2022 as the day of demonstrations against Zunneth Sattar’s business associate Ashok Kumar Sreedharan also known as Ashok Nair.

Confirming the news, said they will deliver a notice to Chief Executive Officer of Lilongwe City Council today.

Chisa Mbele has dubbed the demonstrations Citizens Against Impunity & Corruption.

“Date for Mass Demonstration is 28 February 2022 Under the Name: Citizens Against Impunity & Corruption. We are delivering Notice to CEO of Lilongwe this morning,” said Chisa Mbele.

This is in reaction to Ashok Nair’s move to sue Anti-Corruption bureau (ACB) Martha Chizuma for defamation and he is demanding damages from her.

Ashok’s decision to open a case against the ACB Czar is in relation to the leaked Audio clip which went viral last month in which Chizuma was telling unknown individual that Nair’s release from custody by a high court judge was influenced by corruption.
