Bonongwe Family Sends Vote Of Thanks On Support Rendered During Alinafe Bonongwe’s Demise

The family of the late Alinafe Bonongwe who until his death was Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) Manger for Dedza boarder has thanked people who sympathized with them during the tragic demise of their son who was gruesomely murdered.

Bonongwe was found dead in a pool of blood at his house on February 4, 2022 and was laid to rest on February 13, 2022 at his home village.

In a statement seen by this publication, the families of  Bonongwe, Gwaza, Salaka and Kachala thanked people including President Lazarus Chakwera and different stakeholders for their moral, spiritual and financial support during the time of their grief.

“When Alinafe Bonongwe was gruesomely murdered on 4th February, 2022 and laid to rest on 13th February, 2022 many of you supported and covered us well as his send off was characterized with love and support from many people across the globe and his family is so indebted to you for your support,” read part of the statement.

Malawi Police Service (MPS) has three people in custody in connection with the murder of Bonongwe.
