Keturah also known as The Local Girl is one of the local promising musicians in the country.
Recently, she made headlines on social media following unusual post she made on Facebook that she once lived which attracted different reactions.
Now that she is still trending we thought it wise to share wit you some of the things that you did not know about her.
1. Keturah was Born Keturah Milimo and grew up in Mwanza District
2. Keturah comes from a Family of Guitarists and song writers and She discovered her singing talent when she was Just 9yrs Old.
3. Since Age of 9 Keturah started practicing Guitar and other musical instruments with her Uncle.
4. She does Local Jazz Music which was inspired by Local Legends Paul Banda, Giddes Chalamanda and International stars like Tony Braxton and Dolly Parton
5. Her first song was titled “Moyo” and Was Produced by Gaffar then followed by ” Lilly” which was produced by Sispence.
6. In 2021, Keturah signed a management deal with Social media influencer, writer, activist and Philanthropist Pemphero Mphande and since then she has released songs Like “Khalidwe” which features the legend Giddes Chalamanda.
7. Keturah is working on an album and another international project with American Saxophonist Luis Alas.
8. Last Year she travelled to Zambia for a Performance and has also performed in local scenes including Jacaranda Arts center.
9. During our recent Interview with her,Keturah revealed that she’s not releasing an album this year but has scheduled singles which will be out before November.
10. Out of all the songs she has produced “Munditengereko” is her favourite Song as it speaks of hidden talents people have but are not recognized.
