Mtima Gondwe’s Camp to obtain Injunction against Joseph Bongololo’s Appointment

Camp for Mtima Gondwe say they are planning to get a court injunction against installation of Joseph Bongololo Gondwe as paramount chief Chikulamayembe of the Tumbuka people in Rumphi.

Dr. Lazarus Chakwera approved the appointment of Joseph Bongololo Gondwe as Thembalamathemba Chikulamayembe of the Tumbukason Saturday, March 12 2022..

But this did not please Mtima Gondwe’s camp which held a peaceful protest on Sunday. The grouping went on further to present a petition to Rumphi District Council.

However, speaking to the press on Monday Group village headman Hunga Gondwe says chances of getting a court injunction are at 90 % as they have already been advised by lawyers.

GVH Hunga says this is the right decision right now of solving this issue.

Council Lawyer, Wesley Mwafulirwa confirmed to the local media that the team approached their office seeking advice on the matter.
