Police in Solwezi District have arrested a Zambia National Service officer for cutting off labia of woman he had proposed to.
The victim of the officer is identified as a 21 year old lady Sandra Makina.
According to the police docket, the case which occurred yesterday around 03am at Akay Investment Shop corridor at Kyawama market was reported through Kyawama police station.

“The matter was reported on 13/03/22 at 1300 hours at kyawama police station by F/Sandra Makina aged 21 of kyawama compound area solwezi that she was unlawfully wounded by M/ Mubita Wamupu aged 48 of mulemba villa park area solwezi also a ZNS officer at LDB solwezi who caused her to sustain a completely cut off left labia and a pair of scissors is said to have been used in the the act
The circumstances are that the victim was proposed at the bar by the accused person and went in the said corridor to have intercourse.
It was at this point when the accused got a scissors and cut off her labia.
Docket opened, arrest made and victim is in stable condition.”
