Zambian-based Malawian Musician Patience Namadingo continues to make headlines as he secures a contract with South African music company Electro Mode Ingroove.
Dr. Namadingo shared the good news through his Facebook page highlighting that as the signing is done, it’s time to drop the 1st song out of this deal in April.
“It has been a whole 2 months of discussions both online and in-person between my Managers in Malawi led by our overall manager James Mwana wa Makunje with the legal help of Counsel Noel Chalamanda our Lawyer and in Zambia from Elation Entertainment Zambia led by Counsel Sokwani Peter Chilembo Lawyer and CEO,” Dr. Namadingo said.
The contract will see Namadingo releasing two albums under the company, within a two-and-a-half-year period.
The signing ceremony took place in Brynston, Johannesburg, South Africa today afternoon in the presence of his legal representative Sokwani Peter Chilembo and Gareth Wilson from Universal Music.
In his reaction, Namadingo said: ” I am happy to be the first Malawian artist to sign such a big deal. Now the world knows about Malawi music and hopefully, this opens doors for other local artists.”
Electro Mode Ingroove is a publishing and distribution arm of Universal Group.
