A 25- year-old man, Nyadani Metala has hung himself in the roof of his house in Kawale, Lilongwe.
Sergeant Prisca Kuyere Mtikwa, Deputy PRO for Kawale Police Station said the incident occurred during the night of March 24-25, 2022 at Kanyandule.
His relative has told Police that before the incident Metala has been in Mzimba for a while working in estates but since he came back last year, he has been sick.
The reporter said on the said day, he went to Kasungu for other issues and on return around 15:30pm, he found children crying saying their uncle has hung himself to the roof. Upon checking, he indeed found Metala hanging.
After receiving the report, Police rushed to the scene and took the body to Kamuzu Central Hospital pending postmortem.
The deceased came from Kanyandule Village, Traditional Authority Tsabango in Lilongwe District.
