State House House Director of Communications, Sean Kampondemi claims the former Democratic Progressive Party regime left a huge public debt of K4 trillion.
Kampondemi made the remarks during a state house media briefing in Lilongwe.
He added that the president Lazarus Chakwera received widespread praise from the international leaders following the cabinet reshuffle decision.
He praised Chakwera for displaying listening leadership qualities citing the meetings with the Public Affairs Committee and the Catholic Bishops on matters of national interest.
