Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) has asked Zambians to stop using WhatsApp GB.
In a statement see by this publication, the agency among others has warned Zambian to stop using unverified apps such as WhatsApp GB.
According to ZICTA, it is not safe for them to be using unverified apps adding that it exposes their information not meant for public consumption.
“Please be advised that it is not safe for you to download or use apps that are not verified.
Unverified apps expose you, your personal information and your contacts to possible fraudsters or cyberattacks,” read part of the statement.
The statement further encouraged Zambian to always get apps from verified sources such as google play store or apple store.
