American rapper and record producer Asap Rocky has been arrested.
The rapper was apprehended on a private plane after arriving from Barbados where he and pregnant Rihanna had gone together.
He was reportedly detained at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday ‘for shooting a man on the street’ in 2021.
According to NBS News, Los Angeles police have been investigating Asaph Rocky ever since a man (name not supplied) claimed the rapper shot him near Vista Del Mar and Selma Avenues on November 6.
The publication states that the victim told the police that Asap Rocky approached him on the street and fired a handgun at him three or four times. One of the bullets is alleged to have grazed the victim’s left hand.
This comes just a couple of days after fashion commentator Louis Pisano set Twitter abuzz with a series of posts, alleging that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky had split. Louis Pisano claimed that Asap Rocky cheated on Rihanna with Fenty Footwear designer, Amina Muaddi.
As the rumours spread like wildfire, Amina Muaddi later came out and rubbished the allegations about her and A$ap Rocky dating behind Rihanna’s back by saying:
I’ve always believed that an unfounded lie spread on social media doesn’t deserve any response or clarification, especially one that is so vile. I initially assumed that this fake gossip – fabricated with such malicious intent – would not be taken seriously
As proof to put the rumours aside and set the record straight, Rihanna and Asap Rocky were recently spotted together in Barbados.
