Business Mogul Iqbar Omar Donates To Nafulu Primary School In Salima

Renowned business tycoon Iqbar Omar donated assorted learning materials, food items and clothes to Nafulu Primary school in Salima district on Sunday.

The aim of the donation is to promote education in the lakeshore areas.

Omar said education is among key pillars of social- economic development because it shapes mindset towards efforts in improving education sector that is why he has donated to the school.

“I believe that when building a nation, we must prioritise education as it plays a great role in building up modes of service delivery and goal achievement of the nation. Once these children are educated, will contribute in developing various sectors and in the process, Malawi can be in a better position” said Omar.

He explained that donation was meant as a surplus to food items in the school and promote the spirit of giving in the Holy month of Ramadan as well as promote education at the school.

Speaking after receiving the donation, Lufeyo Banda, Head teacher at Nafulu Primary said the items will help the students to have enough materials for their education.

“The items that we have been blessed with today will help our students in their education and even encourage them to do well in the various classes they are”, said Lufeyo

Muslims in the world regard the Holy month of Ramadan as a month of giving.
